Global - Smtp Settings

Server Information

The "Outgoing SMTP Server" is the email server that the BounceStudio SMTP Service will use to send any queued SMTP Forward messages. By default, most SMTP email servers utilize port 25 to communicate. If required, you can change the port that the BounceStudio SMTP Service will use to connect to the Outgoing SMTP Server.

NOTE: The BounceStudio SMTP Service will not start, unless the "Outgoing SMTP Server" setting is configured.

Sender Information

The "Email From" setting is the value that the BounceStudio SMTP Service will use as the FROM email address in all messages it sends. This is typically an email address that exists on your local domain.

NOTE: The BounceStudio SMTP Service will not start, unless the "Email From" setting is configured.

SMTP Server Time-Out

The SMTP connection time-out value allows you to specify how long a BounceStudio Enterprise SMTP command should wait for completion, in seconds. If the specified number of seconds elapses without a response, the SMTP connection will fail, and BounceStudio Enterprise will close the SMTP connection. The default time-out is 15 seconds. The maximum allowable time-out value is 300 seconds (5 minutes). You shouldn't have to change this value, but you may need to increase it if you're on a really slow connection.

SMTP Interval

The SMTP interval tells the BounceStudio Bounce Service how often to check for incoming messages. The default setting for the SMTP interval is 5 minutes. If you get large volumes of email, you may want to make this value smaller. If you rarely get email, you can make this value a little larger.
